While some airlines have expressed their intention to retire the a380s, there are also some airlines which intend to retain their A380 and 747 fleet. Air France and Lufthansa have decided to retire their fleet of A380s, while airlines such as Etihad have named the A380 as a vital part of its fleet. Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines, the 2nd largest A380 operator, have yet to comment.
The A380 spacious cabin allows larger first class cabins to be fitted in, such as The Residence on Etihad's A380, and the first class suites on Singapore Airlines A380.
Will they be replaced by newer, fuel efficient aircraft such as the A350 and 787?
